Literary and artistic treks in the hills of Langhe and Roero are back. A series of walks to discover the hillside environment described in Beppe Fenoglio's books and recounted in Pinot Gallizio's archaeological and botanical research.
The first scheduled walk will be Saturday, May 3 in a special edition for Vinum, dedicated to retracing part of the steps of Milton, the romantic hero of “A Private Matter.” Starting together from the center of Alba, we will walk up the hill of Altavilla passing through the vineyards and skirting the houses that inspired the places in the story, we will descend to San Rocco Seno d'Elvio retracing the streets that were the scene of the Alba Resistance. Along the loop route that uses paths and country roads among vineyards and farmsteads where sentimental experiences, the echo of the Author's musical passions, the partisan marches and ambushes on the last hill bastions and the dramatic final escape of the novel, reconstructed in a crescendo of tension, come to life.
