Langhe Monferrato Roero
And then, perched atop the hilltops, ancient villages with towers, castles, or walls that evoke the feudal past.
This territory is so unique and special that in June 2014, UNESCO recognized it as a World Heritage Site.
The site consists of six areas that together represent the exceptional quality of the Piedmontese wine-growing landscape and its deep and vibrant wine culture: the Langa del Barolo, the Langa del Barbaresco, the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, Nizza Monferrato and the Barbera, Canelli and Asti Spumante, and the Monferrato degli Infernot.
