Internally, three aisles adorned with frescoes are defined by twelve pillars; the wooden choir and lectern, commissioned by Bishop Migliavacca in the 1600s, enrich the atmosphere. The chapel of San Secondo, from 1772, is a gem by the architect Bernardo Antonio Vittone, and in the right aisle are preserved the banners of the Palio di Asti, donated every year on the first Tuesday of May during the Offering of the Palio ceremony.
