From the hilltop, the Chapel of San Sebastiano in Bergolo, known as the "Stone Village" for its characteristic houses built with Langa stones, offers a breathtaking view of the Langhe and the Bormida and Uzzone Valleys.

Built in the 12th century as a cemetery chapel, the building was essential as a refuge during attacks on the village and outbreaks of plague, and for this reason was dedicated to Saint Sebastian, protector against contagion.

Today, it is an icon of Romanesque architecture in the Langhe: its timeless beauty and spiritual atmosphere make it an unmissable stop for travelers and art enthusiasts.
