Built by the Solaro Counts starting from 1675, with architectural contributions from Guarino Guarini and Benedetto Alfieri, a disciple of Juvarra, it has been the summer residence of King Carlo Felice of Savoy.

The stunning monumental staircase on the façade stands out, crafted with marble and sculptures from the Fountain of Hercules in Venaria Reale.
