A recently introduced variety, it is meant to celebrate the red wines still produced in the Langhe and Roero, with Nebbiolo and Barbera grapes (historical grape varieties grown in these regions since the 15th century). It takes its name from the city of Alba, city in between the two hilly regions and ideally considered the capital.
