A guided walk through the historic center of the capital of the Langhe to discover the Dawn of Culture in the 20th century.
Starting from Casa Fenoglio in Piazza Rossetti 2 where Umberto Mastroianni's monument to the Resistance stands, we will move to the central Piazza Risorgimento to learn about the roots of the art of Pinot Gallizio, pharmacist and painter, and the fiction of Beppe Fenoglio, partisan and writer. It will pass through the places of Fenoglio's education, the Liceo classico Govone and the Seminario, to reach the places of Alba's culture in the Cortile della Maddalena. A tale that begins in the 1920s and accompanies the visitor on a journey through time, in twentieth-century Alba, torn between war and rebirth, between writing and painting.
