Explore the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Duomo of Asti: originally in Romanesque style, it collapsed in 1070 due to arson and was rebuilt and redesigned several times: in 1266 the bell tower was replaced, in 1354 the entire church was rebuilt in Gothic style.

The interior contains numerous chapels and, above the presbytery with its precious mosaic floor, two large organs.

The main altar in polychrome marble, designed by Benedetto Alfieri, rich frescoes by Gandolfino da Roreto, intricate capitals, and refined decorations give the majestic cathedral a charm that leaves one speechless.
